Final front cover and contents page

Magazine Analysis 2

Most of the cover is image with a small amount of text at the bottom right hand side, the image would appeal to students because an image would pull them in, the image features two people on some stairs and the people are most probably college students.

The colours of the magazine are not that bright so it might not appeal to all of the target audience as people might be more into bright and bold colours so it would be eye catching.

I think think this magazine might appeal more towards a male audience as the image features two men wearing more fashionable clothes.

The language of the text might interest the audience as they might read magazines with more slang type language as they could find it easier to read.

The masthead of the magazine is in white and it stands out against the darker background of the image so it can be seen easily from a distance witch would pull in the target audience.

The text on the bottom of the cover again is white so it stands out from the background colour, you have the main story in the bigger text so its more noticeable as your eyes are pulled straight to the first topic.

The rest of the topics are right beneath the main story and all of them have smaller writing underneath the headings to explain more about the story this would pull in the audience as if that main heading didn't interest them the expiation might get them interested in the story.

The contents page of the magazine is bright and colourful with a bold green at the edges with white text which matches the text on the cover with large text for the heading and smaller writing for the detail.

The main image is in the centre of the page and is a mixture of bright pinks, greens and oranges which would pull in the audience members who might like art or just bright colours.

The main title of the magazine is in the top left corner of the contents page with a bit of detail about where the magazine was made and the people who made/contributed towards the magazine, it might interest the audience as they might want to email something to the magazine that they might like to see it in.

On the right side you have the main features of the magazine, so what you can read and what page it is on this would be good as the audience might want to go straight to one page with the most interesting topic to them.

Results

From the questionnaire i found that most of the students i asked preferred the name student sense as the title and that they would be willing to pay up to 50p for this magazine. A lot of the people liked the idea of having the main image taken somewhere around the town like where they would most likely hang
out. I found out the all of the topics i put on the questionnaire were popular with the students and i found the last colour sceme was the one that was chosen the most.

Magazine Analysis 1

Most of the cover is a image with writing incorparated
in to the cover making the image stand out. The image would appeal
to students because the image would pull them in as
they are more likely to look at an image first instead of
a load of text.

The colours of the magazine are bold and eye catching
as the white of the text stand out against the greens,
pinks and blues of the graffiti featured in the image.

I think this would appeal more towards the female
audience as the main person is a girl and looks like
she is very fashionable.

the main story of the magazine is the boldest text
with the other storys beneath in still a bold text but
smaller font size with little bits of imforantion
underneath.

The language of the magazine would be more of a
slang type language as that’s what younger people
tend to use and they might be more inclinded to
buy the magazine if it was more their language.

The contents page is a brillent bright orange

With white text that stands out against it
Making it more readable and this pulls in the
Eyes more making you want to read it.

The image in the centre of the pages looks
